Consorci Platja de Palma

In 2005 the Town Planning Consortium for the improvement and landscaping of Palma Beach was set up with the aim of promoting the refurbishment of hotels, complementary tourism services and the area in general.

From the start, there have been changes in the institutional supervisors of the Consortium and in the participation of the Ministry of Industry, which decided to promote this project through the Council of Ministers of the Spanish Government, creating the post of Commissioner for the Palma Beach Consortium.

From that moment, the Consortium has geared its work toward configuring a different vision, contemplating a new tourism model for Palma Beach that can be renowned world-wide and including as key issues sustainability, climate change, global change, social and residential cohesion, and basically a new model for a new destination, in line with the 21st century and with the people who will be visiting us over the next decades.
